My interest in software development stemmed from a passion for video games. At an early age I decided to watch a documentary on YouTube about Notch, who was the primary developer of Minecraft. This documentary was the motivation that I needed to purchase my first programming book, in order to learn to write my own software. For the next few years I dabbled with different technologies. This learning was put on pause when I joined the Marine Corps in 2016. In 2020, upon leaving the military, I decided to pick software development back up and make a career out of it. I attended Nashville Software School's full stack web development bootcamp, full-time, and haven't looked back since.
I'm currently a student at Nashville Software School studying full stack web development. I have not yet graduated and landed my first job in the tech industry, but I hope to write code professionally by July 2020.
